The Passing Time

Time has gone by fast these last several weeks.  I have been busy with a lot of amazing things.  For starters, a young lady from work, Lindsey Larsen, just received her own endowments in the SLC Temple on Wednesday June 13th and asked if I could be her escort.  It was an amazing experience and a opportunity for me to learn something new, since I have never done something like that before.  The scary thing was, Satan was at his best that day.  He made sure several people couldn't attend and 5 minutes before going in I found out that my temple recommend was missing...oh no!  It turns out that when I was at the temple the day before attending a meeting, which I will explain later, I must have just slid my recommend in my purse rather than back into my wallet...ugh!  Luckily, they were able to pull up my information on the computer and all me in to escort her.  The spirit was so strong that I fought the tears back the whole time.

So back to the reason why I was at the temple on Tuesday.  Well, I was asked to be a temple worker/volunteer and I was to interview with the temple President and his wife.  I have to say that it was a little nerve racking, but a great experience as well.  I did get called to be a volunteer their and I was to start that following Thursday and get set apart that morning.  My sifts are Thursdays from 5-9am, as a clothing worker...talk about dedication and being an early morning person.  I am to fold and put away the clothes that people rent when going through the temple.

I started my first day as a temple worker yesterday morning and was promised in my  blessing when I was set apart that as I serve here at the temple that my family would be blessed, as well as I, and that I would be a great influence to those around me.  The President was the one who set me apart and he also told me that my Father was proud of me...that makes me happy.  I feel as though when I get a blessing it is one way I can hear my Father's voice, as if he was talking to me.

As you can tell, I have been busy.  Chris, Clayton and I are also preparing to do a 1 mile race next weekend, Chris wants Clayton to actually walk/run the race, but of course when he gets tired daddy will end up hold him.  So that is about all for me lately, gotta get better at writing.  I heard that I can actually transfer my blog into an actual book/journal, so excited to do that.
