The passing time

Life just seems to go by so fast that before I know it weeks has gone by since I last wrote.  We decided to try and potty chart with Clayton starting this morning, so far he loves it.  I hope that is works and he will start telling us he wants to sit on the potty.  We are of course taking it slowly so he won't fight us on it, plus he isn't quite two yet.  I have read a lot of articles stating that the child will let us know when they are ready and blah blah...lets just say he's interested but doesn't care either way.  He is at the point where he will tell me afterwards that he went poop in his diaper or he will go to the potty and play with the toilet paper, want to just sit on it, or watch while others go, so why not give it a shot now?

Or vacation to Vegas was a blast, we went at the beginning of the month and visited some friends.  We saw Kim Anderson in Saint George, and the temple, and then we stayed with Amy Larson at her home in Henderson, NV while we went and saw the sites at Vegas, and then stayed with Brady Ledford for the last couple days there in Vegas.  We had so much fun with all of them.  It was nice having our first very own family trip in which it was just our family.  Chris and I both agree that Vegas isn't for us.  There was just to much vulgarity and worldliness going on, not for us.

We celebrated our 3rd anniversary this month, it was so fun.  Chris and I went to dinner at this new restaurant called 'It's Tofu,' it was so yummy.  You know me and my love for Korean food..oh how I love it.  To top the night off even, we went to get some ice cream at Subzero and then got a cute smiley face balloon for the little man.  It was the perfect day! :D

Chris's great uncle Norris passed away last week, so his viewing was on Thursday up in Brigham City and we had the privilege to attend that.  It was so nice to be able to meet some of Chris's family that are on the more normal side, they were so welcoming and loving, even with their loss.  I wish I got to know Uncle Norris more, he seemed like an amazing person.  If I remember correctly he did attend our reception.

Since we were going up to Brigham we decided to make it a extra spiritual event, we got tickets to go and attend the open house of the Brigham City Temple.  It was so amazing, just a little hot though with all those people around you and it being in the 90s that day anyways.Clayton liked it too, being able to see everything and be somewhere new.  He saw the baptismal font and wanted to play in it, and with it being filled with water I am thinking he was wanting to play in it like he does in the bathtub or pool.  Such a cutie!

Oh, so since the funeral was last week Chris's grandparents, from his mom side, came into town and I got to meet them.  I have always been told that they are racist, so with that being known I was a little nervous to meet them, you know since I am not quite all white.  Chris's family got all together and had dinner at Chinese Gourmet, so everyone was there expect Tomoko and Marlo, the other not white people who would have made me feel a little better if they were there too.  Chris's grandpa was so sweet, he was a pleasure to talk to and he was really nice to meet and genuinely happy to meet and talk with me.  His grandmother on the other hand...ugh!  She obviously didn't want to talk to me or really care for me at all, she stood in front of Chris and I to talk to Chris but did not say a word to me, little awkward. Then we took a picture with them to have as a memory, who knows if we will see them again since they live in Arkansas.  Then we took a four generation picture with Clayton, Chris, his mom, and his grandparents.  The domineer of his grandma with me in the picture and not was completely different, she leaned completely over to not be near me in the picture we took and the one without me she was all close with everyone.  Really awkward!  Then to top the night off she tried to discipline my child and dragged him by his hand toward another adult who was trying to get his attention for something ridiculous,  DiVeena wanted to twist up his balloon that he got from the clown when he just wanted it straight like a sword to play with the other kids who had a sword.  Chris obviously seeing my expression change very quickly did the sweetest thing, he asked me if I wanted to leave.  With my answer given to want to leave he quickly grabbed the diaper bag and Clayton before I could stand and was out the door, with no good byes said....I love my husband!  The whole situation was a little hard on me, and still is, maybe one day things will be different.

Chris and I decided to try and have another baby, I am so excited.  Hopefully we find out next month that we'll have another addition to our family.
